Award Jerseys

Missouri Tourism Race Leader Jersey
To differentiate the overall race leader from the rest of the peloton, the cyclist with the least amount of overall accumulated time will wear a special Race Leader jersey. It designates the leader of the general classification, or GC, and a race leader's jersey. Just to possess it one day is a huge badge of honor that most cyclists claim in their cycling resume. At the end of each stage and the overall race, the race jersey is awarded to the cyclist with the best time, and leader jerseys are often an easy-to-sport yellow color.

Michelob ULTRA King of the Mountains
Mountainous terrain affords the unique opportunity of cyclists to compete for cash prizes and merchandise by being the first rider to cross a predetermined point on a mountain, usually the crest. Mountain sprints often attract a large number of spectators because of the incentive for cyclists to compete. There will be 10 mountain points throughout the Tour. Points are provided on a graded scale, depending on the raking of the climb from 1 being the most difficult to 4 for the easiest. The rider with the most points is awarded the Michelob ULTRA King of the Mountains (KOM) jersey each day. For many cyclists, this is jersey displays the badge of suffering through the most pain.

Edward Jones Sprint Points Leader
Sprint lines are established in pass-through town and at the finish of every race and tally points toward the Edward Jones sprint jersey. Sprint lines along the course are touted as the "race within a race" and offer cyclists incentive to compete for cash prizes and merchandise. There will be 8 sprint lines total and points are awarded based on who crossed the line first, second and third. Once a Sprint Leader has been established, he is presented a new jersey at the completion of each stage during daily award ceremonies and is introduced prior to each race's start. As long as he continues to maintain the most number of sprint points, he'll retain the jersey. Sprints are hotly contested events and who gets to keep the jersey often comes down to the very last sprint line in the entire race!

Build A Bear Best Young Rider
The Best Young Rider jersey is worn by the cyclist with the lowest accumulated overall time who is 22 years old and under. Each day, the leader in this category receives a jersey, and it is typically pre-dominantly white in color. The Build A Bear Best Young Rider draws a constant attention as one of the stars of the future!

Drury Inn Most Aggressive Rider
The Most Aggressive Rider jersey is awarded at the end of each stage during the awards ceremonies to the rider who is judged to have instigated the most attacks, breakaways or assisted their team-mates to the best advantage during the stage. Even cyclists that may have crashed, got up, and then finished have won this award, which provides a subjective interactive way to get key aficionados involved. The key here is the judging.
